The Park has sufficient bed accommodation for 74 persons and is comprised of;

• • • A bunk room with 32 beds adjoining the main lodge,

    • A separate bunk room with 8 beds, 

    • Two bunkrooms co-joined with 16 beds,

All three bunk areas are equipped with mattresses and are heated by wood heaters.

There are 3 separate shower & toilet blocks. 

Two rooms are allocated for leaders. One accommodating 3 people, the other 5 people.

There is a container shower block available for larger groups.

10 foldup beds  are available. (totalling 84 beds).

South west of the lodge there is a large (1.3 ha) cleared area of land available for camping. 

The Campground has basic facilities, with a toilet block, small hut, 2 shelters,running water and 2 showers. A number of taps situated around the campground supply water to the area. A large campfire circle is available for ground fires. Firepots are available for use above ground in the camping area.

The hut  is small and cosy, and can be used for small meetings, storage, a first aid station or just as a leaders evening retreat. Alongside there is a tank which can be used for storage.

The toilet block has flushing toilets and handwashing facilities. Outside the toilet are washing up sinks. The shower facilities include one cold water only shower and a bush shower where the equipment needed to heat the water is supplied. 

The kitchen is well appointed and can cater for large numbers. It is fitted with a large commercial gas cooktop  and oven and an electric oven, along with 2 fridges, freezer, microwave, urn, toasters, coffee machine plus more.

All worktops are stainless steel, including a portable bench, which can be moved depending on your requirements. 

There is a large amount of cutlery & crockery available for use, along with a large range of pots, pans and utensils. However it is best to bring your own cutlery, mug, plates and tea towel.

Adjacent to the kitchen and main bunkroom is the  hall / activity room. This area has a large number of tables and chairs,  black and whiteboards and a drop down screen.

The room is heated by a large wood heater. Wood is pre cut and your wood can be obtained from the wood shed behind the main lodge, in wheelbarrows.

Beside the woodheater there are more tables and chairs for indoor use only. Please return these to the storage room.

Between the main lodge and external dormitories there is an open air, undercover,  cooking, eating area and washing up facility. Adjacent to this there are 2  gas BBQs for your use, gas is supplied. A small fridge and freezer are available here.

Tables and chairs stored in this area are for outside use only and must be returned to their allocated storage areas.

Brooms , mops and buckets for cleaning are stored here.

Picnic tables are provided for outdoor activites and eating.

South of the lodge is an outdoor chapel/meeting area, including bench seating.

North of the main lodge there is a large flat grassed area which can be used to run your outdoor activities. If camping here be sure to identify the underground electric cables marked with yellow and forming a line from the powerboard to the electric pole on this side of the Leven River. Please mark all pegs so you can remove them and not damage our mower blades.

East of the main lodge is a separate meeting or activities room. This room has power, a pull down screen and a whiteboard, along with tables and chairs. for indoor use only. This space has endless possibilities, including use for meetings, activities, showing films,  or storing equipment and playing table tennis.

The use of this facility is standard with your Lodge Booking.

It is however a requirement of use that youth in this room be supervised at all times.

Close by is a campfire area surrounded by timber seating. Fallen timber from within the park may be gathered for campfire use.  A larger campfire circle is provided closer to the River. All fires must be made within the campfire circle or in the above ground fire pots. There is a campfire circle in the large campsite as well.

Cut firewood is not to be used for campfires. Groups found to be using cut firewood for campfire purposes will be billed accordingly.

Paton Park has it's own Abseiling Tower which can be hired separately as an add-on to your booking. 

Use of the facility will only be permitted if our stringent safety criteria are fully met. We are able to provide qualified instructors if sufficient notice is given, as well as equipment to hire.

Surrounding the lodge area is a physical fitness challenge course. The course is approximately 800m in length, features a range of natural and built obstacles, and is designed to challenge those willing to take it on. 

There are many cleared and  maintained walking tracks within the park, approximately 4.5 km in total. They link up with each other enabling a reasonable round trip hike to be made within the boundaries of the park.
